Today I was invited with Christy's family to bus ahead to Logroño and visit a winery. This seemed like a no brainer to me. I thought it would be a good opportunity to spend some time in a larger city and take a little break as well.

This was my super tiny coffee and a croissant from breakfast!

I ate all of that. It was amazing.

Overall we had a super fun time getting a short break from the Camino but tomorrow we are back at it!

We got up and tried to get on a bus to Logroño which is not too far away. We had a fluent Spanish speaker as well as our friend Google with us, but it seemed finding a bus that actually stopped where it said it would was almost impossible. I believe we went to four different bus stops and we walked a total of two miles and eventually ended up at the main bus depot in Estella.

When we got there, we bought tickets and still had some time to wait for the correct bus so we decided to get some food. I ordered the only item on the menu I recognized which was Chinese food. I have found that I am not a lover of Spanish food, and particularly not pilgrim menus of Spanish food. I have got to tell you that was the best meal I have had in SO long!

Then we traveled to Logroño and found our alburgue before taking a taxi to the winery. Sergio, whose family I went there with, loves the wine from the winery, so he really looked forward to tasting some of the wines that he cannot find in Canada.
